I will be out of town from Friday, July 27th through late Sunday July 29th and will not have access to email. All calls and emails will be returned the following week.
Please note, this time of year is a very busy one and I am currently booked solid with sessions available starting in September. At this time I am currently running about 2 weeks behind schedule, thank you for understanding.
Warmest regards ...
(crossing xx fingers) in the near future I hope a feature will be published in the Alexandria Times about Susan Braswell Photography and "Kids in and Around Alexandria". I was so tickled when I was contacted by the editor and publisher there. Here are a few sneak peeks of what I submitted and am still conducting another mini session or two to add more entries to the paper. The editor got a glimpse of my blog header and loved the paper box idea so I am trying a new twist on it. Because this is planned (unlike the reaction of the boy from 2 years ago) it is much harder than I anticipated which is motivating me like crazy. The last one would have been great but he's on the wrong box! LOL
I will keep you posted on an upcoming feature so you can be sure to grab the paper.
Susan Braswell Photography will soon be adding 3 levels of collections to the current pricing. You know when you need something you can never find it, I am stuck and that is where I need your help. Please submit your entry titles for each of the packages and ideally I would like them to be themed to the next level. This is open until there is enough submissions - feel free to post it here or email me. The winner will receive a $10 gift card to i-tunes. It's that simple and anyone can participate.
Want to participate in a brief mini session tomorrow morning at 9am? Listen up, I will be at the corner of King Street and S. Columbus in front of The Austin Grill partaking in a project for a local newspaper. If you are interested in a complimentary mini session, be there .. be square. The entry picked for the feature will receive a complimentary 8x10.
Who? any boy or girl around the age of 2-3 who is not camera shy, who is very content and follows direction from mom (or dad). You do not have to be a past or present client, anyone is welcome.
When? Tuesday, July 17th
Where? Corner of King and Columbus in Old Town Alexandria
Terms? Any person being photographed is required to sign a release from Susan Braswell Photography as well as a release provided from the local paper. The image selected may become a slogan and featured in print and/or the website.
What to Wear? Girls, please wear a classic timeless dress and boys, jacket sporting a tie is ideal. No tennis shoes and likely I will ask that your children remain barefoot.
I will only be at this location for 30 minutes as long as there are no interruptions from deliveries etc.
Hope to see you. Sorry for the last minute request. If you show up at 9:25, I can not guarantee I will have the time to fit you in. You can email me with any questions at: susanbraswellphotography@verizon.net
Susan
tomorrow (or today actually) any remaining emails or calls will be returned promptly. If you do not hear from me, please contact my mobile phone. I will be taking care of packaging up quite a few pending portrait orders (minus any custom orders), design work, and the list goes on. I will not be conducting sessions for a few days and will be working diligently to keep the work flow managable. :)
ps - I am working on creating a task/duties project list but if you know someone who may be interested in working for me part time please email me. Ideally it is mandatory the candidate is proficient with Photoshop and a Mac. Windows users will have an easy adjustment transitioning to a Mac, so that is not key.
As little man C approaches 3 years old, it has been such a delight to work with this family the last few years. I can not express how gracious and exceptionally nice this family is as clients. I am still in awe over your new renovation/addition to your home, ::outstanding:: 5 star work by your contractor. The landscaping is nothing to sneeze at either, just beautiful! Hope to see you again next summer.
xoxo
a nice change of pace with all adults who sit still and I still get hurt! ::ouch, it was a nasty bruise afterall::: (you know from that boulder on the ledge?)
I think this may be a record as to how many images I am showing. I see the color and it's beautiful but then the B&W's are to-die-for --the only way to explain it. I may add a few more favorites, once the gallery has been sent. But for now a small sneak preview and you have not seen anything yet.
I will say I truly had a wonderful time with your family T and your dad is a hoot. It is evident how close you all are and I am honored you picked me as your photographer.
